Open Enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace
Open Enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace begins November 1, 2015
Looking for Individual Health Insurance during open enrollment? Please click here for our Privacy Statement. This year will mark the 3rd Open Enrollment for individuals to obtain coverage. Here are some tips and information on how to have a successful enrollment. You may enroll without an agent; however we are trained in the coverage and choice of hospitals and physicians available for different Health Plans. Our agents are happy to assist you with the process! If you do want to assign an agent, the website for HealthCare.gov will prompt you to put in a NPN (National Producer Number) for your agent. Our Certified Agents for the Federal Marketplace and their NPN Numbers are: Cheyenne Lopez – 3243025, Lisa Sheipline – 1898908, Matt Johnston – 16181417, and Randee Henson – 2828846.
Important Open Enrollment Tips for 2015
- If you receive premium assistance (subsidy), through the Health Insurance Marketplace already, you will need to recertify your income this year, regardless of whether you already receive subsidy or not. Stolly Insurance Group can assist you with this process.
- You will need to know what your 2015 Household Income was and it helps to bring a copy of your last tax return with you when seeking assistance.
- It is also a good idea to bring a list of your preferred hospital, doctors, and even medications that you or family members take. This helps us make sure you are getting the coverage that suits your individual needs.
- If you need coverage by January 1, 2016, you must enroll by December 15th, 2015. After this date, you will receive a different effective date for health insurance coverage. Open Enrollment will end January 31, 2016. If you don’t enroll for health insurance by this date, you can’t enroll in a health insurance plan for 2016 unless you have a Special Enrollment Period.
